Schneider Electric to bring energy, AI into focus at Abu Dhabi summit

Schneider Electric will bring together energy, technology and industry leaders in Abu Dhabi next month for the second edition of its Innovation Summit Middle East & Africa, as the region looks to strengthen energy systems to support the rapid growth of artificial intelligence, cloud computing and digital infrastructure.

The two-day summit, scheduled for September 15-16 at ADNEC under the theme “Advancing Energy Tech to Power Intelligence and Resilience,” will focus on the growing role of energy technology in enabling digital transformation, industrial development and national competitiveness across the Middle East and Africa.

Schneider Electric said the event will examine the convergence of electrification, automation, digitalisation, software, AI and data, with discussions covering the entire energy intelligence value chain — from power generation and electricity grids to digital control, analytics and deployment.

The company said the rapid expansion of AI and data-intensive technologies is making reliable and intelligent energy infrastructure increasingly critical, with resilience requiring deliberate investment in technology, system design and partnerships rather than simply being a response to disruptions.

The summit will feature strategic discussions on energy demand, AI readiness, digitalisation and sustainability, alongside demonstrations of technologies for buildings, data centres, industry and infrastructure.

A key component will be the Innovation Hub, where attendees will be able to see Schneider Electric technologies and connected systems in operation and examine how operational data can be converted into actionable intelligence.

The event is also expected to feature new announcements and partnerships, including memorandums of understanding with industry and government stakeholders, as well as recognition of ecosystem partners.

Senior Schneider Electric executives expected to participate include Global CEO Olivier Blum, EVP International Operations Manish Pant, MEA Zone President Walid Sheta, Gulf Cluster President Amel Chadli, and SVP Global Brand and Communications Monique Elliot. - TradeArabia News Service
