Benefit, Bahrain’s leading fintech firm, has signed an MoU with Bede Bahrain, an innovative microfinance solutions app, to explore a Nano financing initiative within BenefitPay.
Drawing on both companies’ expertise, the proposed initiative would provide individuals with instant, small-ticket financing to support everyday liquidity needs.
The MoU was signed at Fintech Forward 2026, where Benefit is participating as a Platinum Sponsor, by Abdulwahed AlJanahi, Chief Executive of Benefit, and A Nasser Al-Rayes, Chief Executive Officer of Bede Bahrain.
Initial framework
The agreement establishes an initial framework for the companies to assess the proposed micro-credit solution and its integration into BenefitPay.
Discussions will consider how the app’s capabilities could support a seamless financing experience, with any subsequent development or implementation subject to further arrangements agreed between the parties.
AlJanahi said: “Our services evolve around the needs of our users, with a clear focus on making everyday financial transactions simpler and more efficient. This MoU with Bede Bahrain gives us an opportunity to explore how nano financing could complement BenefitPay’s service offering and deliver greater value to its users.”
Valuable setting
“Our Platinum Sponsorship of Fintech Forward reflects our commitment to encouraging dialogue and collaboration across financial institutions, technology companies and the wider industry. The forum provides a valuable setting to exchange expertise and build partnerships that turn ideas into practical initiatives, contributing to the continued development of Bahrain’s digital financial services.”
Al-Rayes said: “At Bede, we believe financial innovation should deliver tangible value to customers through intuitive services, transparent processes and a clear understanding of their evolving needs. We pursue partnerships that translate these priorities into practical opportunities. By combining our expertise in digital financing with Benefit’s capabilities in electronic financial transactions, we aim to explore more integrated financial services and contribute to the continued development of Bahrain’s fintech sector."—TradeArabia News Service
