Acwa Power has signed a reservation agreement with the Philippines’ BCDA to develop large-scale renewable energy in New Clark City. The collaboration targets a major solar project with potential battery storage integration within the smart, green New Clark City Special Economic Zone north of Manila.

Saudi utilities major Acwa Power has announced the completion of acquisition of French energy giant Engie’s stake in the Al Zour North One Power and Water Plant (Az-Zour North IWPP) in Kuwait. The gas-fired IWPP has a 1.5GW power generation capacity and a 107 MIGD desalination capacity.
An official ceremony was held to inaugurate the Khizi–Absheron Wind Power Plant in Azerbaijan, one of the largest wind energy projects developed by Saudi Acwa Power in the country, with a total capacity of 240 megawatts.
