As construction activity accelerates across Saudi Arabia, project teams face growing pressure to make informed procurement decisions, meet evolving regulatory requirements and deliver projects efficiently.

Against this backdrop, Big 5 Construct Saudi, taking place from August 30 to September 2 at the Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference Center, will bring together more than 1,000 local and international exhibitors.

The event will provide contractors, consultants, engineers and procurement professionals with an opportunity to compare solutions, engage directly with suppliers and identify products suited to current and upcoming projects across the kingdom.

Saudi manufacturers and suppliers will showcase products and services supporting the Kingdom’s expanding construction sector, said the organisers.

Masdar will be presenting its portfolio of building materials, electrical products, tools and hardware, while Al Yamamah Steel Industries will highlight structural steel solutions for major infrastructure and building projects.

Hussein & AlHassan G. Shaker Bros. will be showcasing HVAC and air-conditioning technologies, while MedGulf will present insurance and reinsurance solutions spanning engineering, property, liability and marine coverage. 

CPC Holding will highlight integrated construction and building solutions, and NAFFCO will exhibit fire safety, life safety and security technologies designed for complex developments across the Kingdom.

International exhibitors from over 50 countries further strengthen the exhibition's offering. Lanmix from Australia will showcase its high-performance steel fibre reinforcement solutions, while K-Flex Insulation from Egypt will be highlighting its thermal, acoustic and fire-stopping insulation solutions. 

Germany's Coldrock Europe, Masa and MBK Maschinenbau will be highlighting its expertise in concrete cooling technology, production machinery and reinforcement systems. 

Representing Italy, Confindustria Veneto, together with Gibus and Oscam, will unveil Italian manufacturing across specialist construction products and outdoor living solutions. 

Building codes, safety standards 

From the UAE, Al Muqarram presents construction chemicals, while International Code Council (ICC) and Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA) International will demonstrate internationally recognised expertise in building codes, safety standards and HVAC performance.

The event will also welcome several first-time exhibiting companies, including Arkaz, which introduces its construction and engineering capabilities and Coastal Contracting, which brings expertise in integrated contracting and project delivery. 

Hamte Group showcases construction technologies and engineering solutions, while TotalEnergies presents its portfolio supporting energy and industrial applications.

Environment Icon highlights environmental and sustainability-focused solutions, AlMekyal AlSaudi showcases its construction products and services and Mectco presents waste management and environmental solutions supporting cleaner, more efficient project delivery. 

Their participation reflects growing interest from companies looking to establish new partnerships, engage directly with buyers and strengthen their presence in Saudi Arabia's expanding construction market.

Complementing the exhibition, Big 5 Talks delivers more than 30 CPD-certified sessions led by over 50 industry experts, providing practical guidance on the technical, regulatory and operational priorities shaping Saudi Arabia's construction sector.

Covering topics including the Saudi Building Code, health and safety, project management, artificial intelligence, sustainability, concrete, modular construction and HVACR, the programme is designed to equip professionals with practical knowledge that supports informed decision-making, regulatory compliance and improved project delivery.

Among the programme highlights is a keynote address by Eng. Saad Shuail, Chief Executive Officer, Saudi Building Code Center (SBCC), setting the stage for a workshop on 'Navigating the Saudi Building Code: Key requirements and compliance pathways'.

The session will offer practical guidance on the Saudi Building Code, understanding compliance requirements and supporting safer, higher-quality project delivery across the Kingdom.

Project delivery and supply chain resilience will also take centre stage during a panel discussion exploring leadership and governance across construction procurement. 

The session will highlight actionable insights from Darko Macura, Chief Executive Officer of Al Kholi Group, Christopher Seymour, Managing Director, Middle East & Africa at Mace Consult and Shonagh Kinnaird MCIOB, Project Director at Misk City, among others, to examine collaboration between stakeholders, digital transparency, procurement challenges and lessons from Saudi Arabia's major developments.

Another session on 'Ensuring quality in Saudi construction: From the batching plant to structure' will examine how international concrete standards and Saudi Building Code work together to strengthen construction quality across the project lifecycle.

Led by Engr Ahmed K.F Alijla, Senior Associate, Civil Engineer and ACI Concrete Quality Technical Manager (CQTM) at Dar Al-Handasah Consultants (Shair and Partners), the session will explore material quality management, inspection and testing procedures, documentation practices, workforce competency and the practical challenges of implementing ACI and SBC requirements on construction sites across the Kingdom.
