Energy ministers and industry leaders have concluded the 17th International Energy Forum Ministerial Meeting (IEF17) in Riyadh, calling for stronger international cooperation, sustained investment across energy systems and improved market data to strengthen global energy security.
Saad Al-Kaabi, Minister of State for Energy Affairs and President and CEO of QatarEnergy, has called for energy to be kept above politics, warning that regional conflict has triggered “by far, the world’s worst energy crisis.” Speaking in Riyadh, he urged stronger protection for energy infrastructure.
